Unni Turrettini was born in northern Norway and grew up in Drammen, a city near Oslo, approximately twenty minutes from where mass-murderer Breivik was raised. As a foreign exchange student, she graduated from high school in Kansas City, Kansas, an experience that changed her life. She has law degrees from Norway, France, and the United States. A member of the New York Bar, she has worked as a lawyer in Paris and Geneva. Her multicultural upbringing has provided her with a flexible worldview, and she considers herself a voice of reason. Ultimately, she is a passionate advocate of human rights and justice, especially freedom of speech and socio-political issues. She currently lives with her family in Geneva, Switzerland, and is at work on a second book, a behind-the-scenes examination of the Nobel Peace Prize.
